The Quebec experience program (PEQ) has two streams: Quebec temporary workers stream and Quebec graduate stream.
PEQ Graduate stream
This Quebec immigration program is for you if you meet these conditions:
- You have obtained, In the 36 months preceding the submission of your application an eligible Québec diploma (full-time study program).
- You have acquired work experience in Québec (12 or 18 months according to the obtained Quebec diploma).
- You currently hold a valid work permit and an eligible job in the province of Quebec.
- You have advanced intermediate knowledge of oral French.
PEQ temporary worker stream
This Quebec immigration program is for you if you meet these conditions:
- You hold a valid work permit and a job in the province of Quebec, in a profession at level 0, A or B of the National Occupational Classification,
- You have held this job on a full-time basis, in Québec, for at least 24 months during the 36 months preceding the submission of your application,
- You have an advanced intermediate knowledge of oral French.
REGULAR SKILLED WORKER PROGRAM
This program assesses your profile based on 9 factors and that of your accompanying spouse or partner. It is s a points and rank system of selection. You declare your intention to immigrate to Quebec and you wait for the decision of immigration Quebec.
The selection factors: age, level of education, professional experience, knowledge of French and English, visits and stays in Québec, family ties to a Québec resident, the existence of a validated job offer, age of dependent children and financial autonomy.
QUEBEC PERMANENT IMMIGRATION PILOT PROGRAMS
To meet the needs of the Quebec economy, the Government of Quebec has created three permanent immigration pilot programs
- Permanent immigration pilot program for workers in the artificial intelligence, information technologies and visual effects sectors
- Permanent immigration pilot program for workers in food processing
- Permanent immigration pilot program for orderlies
These three pilot programs will close on January 1, 2026.
